Jacob Kukuk – Founder
Jacob Kukuk is the founder of Vegas Open Network (VONet), a not-for-profit launched in July 2025 to create a fair, community-owned internet across Las Vegas. With over 15 years in IT and infrastructure, he's led projects in public, private, and nonprofit sectors—focused on solving practical problems through technology.
His work is rooted in the belief that internet access should be a basic right. From upgrading critical systems to developing public-facing platforms, Jacob’s approach balances technical expertise with real-world impact.
VONet is currently in its founding phase, focused on small-scale deployments, community engagement, and partnerships—all aimed at building a long-term public resource that fills the gaps left by commercial providers.
Based in Las Vegas with his wife and four children, Jacob’s mission is simple: build a future where internet access is foundational—not a luxury.
